Chris died in 1969 in Berkeley, Ca. He was a member of BAT. Chris overdosed on heroin (1969) and called friends in Ohio to say what he had done. They called California friends who rushed to save him and they walked him around and then put him to bed and there he died.
Chris and I were not close but I thought I knew him....Oh the roads some of us took. May his eternity be what he need and wants....
Bruce, I shared an apartment with Chris at OSU. Early summer ’67 we took what was to be a 2 week trip to San Francisco, along with Nancy Feiner and Sam Roth. The Haight-Ashbury/Summer of Love phenomenon was in full bloom and we were quickly caught up in the lifestyle and never went back. We moved into a place in Berkley on Fulton street. We had some great adventures, countless nights at the Fillmore listening to the greatest bands of that era. I moved to Toronto in ‘69, I still remember my mom calling a few months later to tell me Chris had died. Sadly, Nancy also passed away soon after.
