Charlie was a friend of mine in high school. My recollection was that he went to Benedictine, not Heights, but maybe he is on our roles because he got kicked out of Benedictine. I'll never forget his Pontiac convertible and his GTO. Guess I was into hot cars then. Charlie joined the Marines after high school, became a long distance runner, and was sent to Guam, I think. I didn't see Charlie for many years, but then saw him and spoke with him briefly at a bar on Coventry in the early 1980s. I was there after a softball game of the University Hospitals league with friends from the Neurosurgery Lab. He was there after work with two friends. We never connected again. I feel he was sort of a lost soul, ended up doing some crazy things, and he accepted without question whatever life gave him. He was always sweet to me. I hope he lived a wonderful life. Rest In Peace, Charlie.
