I believe Paulette went to Montecello with me. Looking at her picture I remember her as beautiful! I found my old diaries from Monticello and indeed Paulette was in them a lot! She had a party at her house which ended up with our first wet T shirt thing. Always noted was how nice she was! And Gary, I found a pairing of you and Paulette. It may have only been for a day or week or whatever (you know how Jr. high was) but your connection was true!
Paulette and I shared a birthday (with Jane Conklin who I think moved away) and were in Milliken together and all the way through Heights. I think I remembered that she had passed away, but when I saw that Gary Shubert had also passed away, who I also went to Milliken with, it started to feel very sad that people we started out with are no longer with us.
Sadness over the loss of Paulette has been a major effect over this reunion. We lost touch several years ago but her vibrancy has and will always remain in my heart!
We lived next door to Paulette for a number of year. Our kids called her Auntie Paul- she was like their "Auntie Mame"- presents- playing- story telling. We shared so many wonderful meals, friendship and laughter around the dining room table!
I was in Little League (12?). I was not a great player especially batting. Paulette came to my game (or happened to be there). Anyway, I had a crush on her and at that game I hit a double when I usually struck-out. I give her the credit. I also remember going to her house on Crest.
Paulette was my best friend, the sister I never had. We met in homeroom in the 10th grade. She passed away in the spring of 2014. She was my sons unofficial godmother, Paulette had a heart of gold. There was not a person on this planet that she would not try to reach out and help. She was a "righteous" person and someone that I miss.
